Autumn Term 2 'On a Dark and Starry Night'
During our second half term together we will be focusing on moving on with the Year One curriculum. We will being doing Literacy and Numeracy most days as well as guided reading and a range of intervention activities. The activities will give the children the opportunity work with a variety of adults and friends on a range of tasks. These tasks will allow the children to fill gaps in their knowledge, as well as work on new skills and have the time to use these in a variety of ways.
Reading books will continue to be changed on a Monday, however, please feel free to change your child's book during the week. If you feel that the books are not suitable, either too easy or a little too tricky, please speak to myself, Mrs Homewood or Mrs Matthews and we will address the situation.
Please note that P.E. has changed to a Wednesday.
Many thanks, Miss Barker.
Our topic this term is 'On a Dark and Starry Night'
We will be looking at all things night time, reading Funny Bones stories, Owl Babies (which is one of my favourites) as well as learning about night time creatures.
