Letters home to parents

Autumn term homework

The children will be given their weekly spellings on a Friday, ready to be tested on the following Thursday. Remember, there are Dojo points at stake for children that show improvement, so keep practising!

We are also working hard on our timetables. Each week the children will be given a homework sheet of timetables to work. Children will be given Dojo points for each completed sheet handed back.

We are now in a position where our History of Astronomy topic is coming to a close. This means the children now have the knowledge to complete our art project... To create a model of our universe! The children can choose a Geocentric OR Heliocentric model (they can tell you the difference!) and in can be made however you choose: A drawing, a painting, a 3d model - be as creative as you like!

Topic homework for Autumn 1

Topic homework for Autumn 1 1 Our amazing homework! Well done to all!

Autumn 2 Homework

A major focus for us for the coming half-term is the fluency of our timetables. It is such an important foundation for us to build our growing arithmetic skills on. To assist with this, we will reintroduce the Timetables Rockstar program. Pupils will be given their login details again on the first week back. It would be brilliant for the children to really push themselves in this aspect of their learning. There will, of course, be Dojo points for children that are giving it their best shot.

In addition to this, pupils will again be working on their weekly spellings. The children will receive these on a Friday, ready to be tested on the following Thursday. A good way to practise this is to rehearse writing the words in sentences. Not only will this help with the spellings themselves, but the children will then be expanding their working vocabulary. Win win!
